This first photo is has the best story. El Centro is the exact spot in Georgetown where Chris was hanging out with friends on the first night he and Mary started texting. He happened to be swiping in Washington DC, like every other single millenial on a night out, and since he was in Mary’s radius, they connected and started what has turned out to be a lifetime of hanging out and laughs.
I’m so excited to share this engagement session, we had a blast walking around Georgetown, and our session magically coincided with The National Cherry Blossom Festival so we visited the Tidal Basin to see the blossoms and grabbed a few shots as the sun set. We learned that you can never be over-prepared with bandaids for on an engagement session, and that everyone and their, brother, sister and ten cousins go to see the cherry blossoms at sunset.. the crowds were huge! It was really fun to photograph Mary & Chris in this historic, urban landscape. It’s always my goal to photograph at locations and in a way that’s meaningful to my couples and their relationship. I think this session tipifys that, and really captures DC beyond the monuments and The Mall. Can’t wait for their wedding this Summer!
