This time of year is by far my favorite time in Maine for engagement photographs. I have been wanting to explore this field, so Georgia & Josh met me near Portland, Maine on a late Summer afternoon for a walk through the beautiful paths and to the ocean. The burnt oranges and warmth in the color palette of this Maine session, and the simple location are perfect. Wild brush and seasonally changing field grass were exactly what I wanted for this muted palette. Georgia & Josh made sure to dress comfortably and naturally, and in a way that was apropos of the location, Georgia in her favorite pair of Rachel Comey pants.
In the early 90’s my parents packed up my Dad’s VW van for their honeymoon to Canada. On that trip they took a few rolls of sweet photos of eachother picking wildflowers in a field, I always loved those photographs and the colors on film. My Mom picking yellow daisies in the sun, and my Dad with his fanny pack and sneakers smiling at her. Some of my all time favorite photos which I’ll be sharing in a post soon.
