Notes from Couples

“Booking Sarah as our photographer was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. From the moment she was on-board, she was supportive, attentive, and competent with every detail relating to our photography needs.”

-Danya & Ned 2014

“Sarah did such an amazing job as our wedding photographer! I love her style and we’re so happy with the shots she got. She goes with the flow and is really creative. Her relaxed approach helped us feel more more natural and I think it shows in our photos. The photos we got really capture the day perfectly.”

-Josie & Matt 2015

“The barn is very old and the lighting was not excellent but Sarah was still able to make us and our guests look amazing. Our pictures came out even better than we expected. Sarah was very easy to work with and understand while she was shooting and directing us, and was very patient with my easily distracted family.”

-Austin & Veronica 2015

Amazing photographer!! She has a cunning eye for magical image making and a spirit that inspires only the best. We love her. She did an amazing job at our wedding. We’re over the moon and 1000% satisfied and many more! Only one to photograph your wedding.

-Alyssa & Patrick 2015

Wedding Photography FAQ:

Do you travel?

Do I ever!

How do we know that you are the right fit for us?

You will feel it in your bones! This is no joke. If you look at my work and love it, that’s the first sign. If you want to hike a mountain with me, take pictures in the rain, or lay around the house on a Sunday… then we are a match. I’m playful, I’m real and I’m brave. I’m all of the things that you see in my pictures.

Should we do an engagement session?

I would love to! If you need photographs for your website or your save the dates, definitely. But.. even if you have already sent out save the dates, having a session prior to the wedding is really beneficial. It helps that we’ve met and photographed before the wedding, our bond and familiarity can do worlds of good for your photographs on the wedding day. Also, I have had many couple’s tell me how happy they are they they took advantage of this opportunity because they have more of a selection of photographs to use in the future.

What are your rates?

Wedding day coverage starts at $3500 for a full day. Smaller elopement packages are customized on an individual basis.

How far in advance should I book my wedding?

This is subjective. You could do it 10 years in advance, if you prefer a long engagement, but most people do it 10-12 months before the wedding.

Can you reccommend a florist? Hair and make-up? A DJ?

I am happy to tell you who I love to work with. I offer referrals post-booking.

Do you shoot with another photographer?

Sometimes! I have a few different trusted and amazing photographers who I work with. For smaller weddings I prefer to work alone. Ask me when you book your wedding 🙂

When will we see our wedding photographs?

I send a sneak peak 1 to 2 weeks after the wedding. Full gallery delivery varies based on the time of year and ranges from 4 to 12 weeks maximum.

We are ready! How do we book?

For a wedding, I require a fifty percent retainer and a signed contract. Use my contact form or e-mail me at sarahmorrillphoto@gmail.com

How do you accept payment?

Preferred: Check or cash. I also accept credit cards and Paypal.

Do you have insurance?

Definitely! I have both liability and equipment insurance.

What can we expect after the wedding?

One to two weeks after the wedding I will send you a few photographs as a sneak peak. Then your full gallery will be delivered four to twelve weeks after the wedding electronically and with print, if you added them on to your package. For a full day wedding, a wedding gallery averages around 500-700 photographs.

Portrait FAQ:

What are your family photo sessions like?

My priority in a family session is fun and exploring. Definitely don’t expect me to say “cheese…”, ever. Be prepared to hug eachother a lot. I prefer to photograph your family in the places you naturally spend your time, doing the things your love. If it’s snuggling in bed, baking a cake at home, swimming at the local pool, or taking the dog for a walk in your neighborhood – let’s go there! Most of my sessions take place outside, or indoors with beautiful natural light.

What should we wear?

What makes you feel like your self and beautiful. Don’t match! If you want to wear heels, go for it, but bring a change of shoes. If you want to wear your Muck boots, that’s great too. I always suggest bringing a change of shirt or jacket.

How long does it take?

Sessions are 1.5 to 2 hours. We move around alot and the time flies. Occasionally I offer mini sessions.
